~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2202 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Vivosun Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 1/19- Here we go into Week Four of flower and these testers are ON FIRE!🔥🔥🔥 Both testers are in a flower frenzy and are ready to eat! Today I gave both girls their last top dressing with Down To Earth 4-8-4 Flower Mix at a ratio of 2tbsp/g and Coast of Maine's Stonington Blend 5-2-4 Organic Plant Food at a ratio of 1tbsp/g which I simplified by using 1/3 cup of the 4-8-4 and 1/4 cup of the 5-2-4 in the 4g pot and 3/8 cup of 4-8-4 and 1/8 cup of the 5-2-4 in the 3g pot. After working the amendments into the medium, I watered it in with 1g of straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.6 @ 74℉. It will take a week for the microbes to begin breaking it down and will last for 3-4 weeks after that which should coincide with them finishing up, or close to it, enabling them to naturally 'flush' themselves out. The #1 tester that has had the weird coloring and leaf texture is a beast @ 26" tall and I'm happy that she's come around! In my experience, more times than not I've had plants with issues when they started and debated yanking them but let them stay and all, and I mean every one, have turned out to be epic. I guess it's just dumb luck, or the fact I hate to kill any plants if I don't have to! 😎💚 The # 2 is doing exceptional as well and is beginning to get some purple coloration of the leaves in her flowers! I've also increased the power to the HLG 650R's the the Trolmaster Hydro X Controller to 75% which has them pulling 990w at the wall and have them hung 32" above canopy. I also starting adding in 4 hours of UVA during the middle of the light cycle for the remainder of flower. I've been monitoring their leaf temperatures and they're running 71-73℉ which is perfect! I have the AutoPilot APC8200 co2 Controller set to 1100ppm with a 100ppm window and the AC Infinity Cloudline T6 controller set to maintain a 74℉ temperature in the tent while the lights are on. 1/21- I'm watering these thirsty girls daily with straight de-chlorinated water ph'd it to 6.6 @ 74℉ and they're both thriving! The #2 pheno stays in a perpetual state of 'praying'.... a VERY happy girl she is and the #1 is showing signs of purple coloration in her flowers! 1/23- I watered/fed both testers today with 0.75g of de-chlorinated water each with GreenGro's Natures Brix, Granular Myco and Flower Finisher mixed in, after which I added 1 tsp/g of unsulfured molasses and then ph'd it to 6.6 @ 74℉. They'll be getting straight water from here moving forward as the medium has enough food in it to support them until they finish. 1/25- Daily watering continued today with both girls receiving 0.75g of straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.6 @ 74℉. OMG they're both looking fantastic with both looking tall and proud with a beautiful purple coloration expressing in their flowers and even into the leaves of the #2! Critical is finishing way fast.. don't know if I can keep her alive till next weekend but heck I'll try and let her die on her foot if she has to:) Been flushing all the other gals twice now. Temps are getting out of hands and I've raised the lamps to about 40-50cm height running only 50ish percent and I'm still burning them up. Been feeding them way too much since the beginning so there should be enough nutrients in the soil to finish up properly with just water. Noticed a couple of fresh nanners popping up here and there and at least one almost fully matured seed on the faster Critical, nothing too serious and no wonder since all the issues I've been running. Loads of tiny foxtailing on almost all of the plants even though I always raised the lamps a bit when i saw them forming.. definitely need a PAR meter since two 300W+ led panels are quite an overkill on a tent this size full blast. Still looks like solid harvest coming up and I hope to find a decent glass on sale to getter better quality photos on the harvest:) Keep on growing guys and enjoy the newest timelapse! Hello Growmies, We’re sailing into week 13 of flowering with our Epic Buzz, and she’s taking up nutrients like a champ. Her appetite has grown to a robust 2.5 liters of nutrient solution a day, prompting me to stay vigilant with reservoir top-ups every three days. With the flower stretch winding down, I’m prepping to add PK 13/14 to her diet, aiming to bolster her as she enters the final stage of bloom. The marks of a previous hiccup when the reservoir ran low are visible, leaving a few leaves to yellow with chlorosis. Yet, most of her foliage remains lush and unaffected, a reassuring sign of her overall vigor. I’ve opted to keep the blemished leaves to avoid any additional stress that might come with their removal. Beneath the foliage, a network of healthy roots is hard at work, supporting the development of dense, trichome-rich buds that are starting to resemble golf balls in size. These buds are clustering around the colas with the promise of closing up any gaps, a sight that’s building my anticipation for what’s to come. The snapshots of Epic Buzz reveal her current state: a resilient plant pushing forward, her unaffected leaves standing out against the backdrop of her less fortunate counterparts. The canopy is speckled with trichome-laden buds, each one a testament to the careful balance of watering and feeding that has been maintained. As we prepare for the addition of PK 13/14, it's with a watchful eye and an eager mind, knowing that each adjustment now can have significant impact on the harvest. We had rain morning Day 1 and the previous night. Early morning Day 2, around 2-3 a.m., we had thunderstorms with strong winds and heavy rain. This was followed by sunshine that afternoon. Despite the 5% rain forecast for day 3, we had a thunderstorm. It produced heavy rain and strong winds. For about a hour in the morning Day 3 and that evening showers. Day 4 was all day sunshine with a lite breeze. That was excellent turn of weather to dry out the soaked soil. Day 5, 6, and 7 we had sunshine and a breeze. I added 2.5 ml of ferrous sulfate per gallon of soil on day 1. I added a second dose of 2.5ml ferrous sulfate per gallon of soil top dressed on day 5 for a total of 5ml/gallon of soil, top dressed for the week. I added 1.3 ml/gallon of soil(10ml) blood meal, top dressing on day 5. I watered on day 6 and 7. The ferrous sulfate really began to work on day 6. On day 7 they had a healthy even green color and are rdy for the stretch to begin flower. These plants surviving and thriving through the challenging spring weather and grower proves how resilient these fastbuds genetics are.

This week the girls are really starting to fill out with some nice bud structures. A nice sweet smelling aroma when I walk around the yard lol good thing I have awesome neighbors. Can't wait for these buds to start putting on some weight Started the flush just a couple days before these photos were taken. Strictly water from here on out. And lots of it I also added a little macro video for you. Not the greatest quality, but you get to see some of the trichomes in the plants early stages of flowering g before ripening. Thanks!

Very good journey to me, she has responded very well to the lst training, providing me beautiful colas, enough for me to have nice clean organic nuggets to smoke. I would definitely would run this Ak420 by seedstockers again, the sweetest phenotype was the number #2 which you can take a look at here in my page!

Another week with 100 degree days and hazardous air. I'm noticing an explosion of new hairs. This is my second grow so I've never seen this. I'm assuming it's some final push but have no idea what to expect in swell. No idea how long it will last. As of Friday, pistals still white. Trichomes starting to cloud. I notice the new hairs having 8 new hairs at a time which means thry still have to grow into a clump of calyxes. Proper feeding is so important. My first crop didn't swell. Underfed and stressed environmentally near the end.

A great second week here as the girls stabilize. They got watered two times this week. All good growth. 📈 This girl made a great conback. She had fallen down due to overwatering and that stunted her growth. Now she came back up and should be back on track. Great week all seemed to recover from transplant and lst! With new growth coming in No more signs of any knats either wich is awesome hopefully thats gone. Trying to keeping main branches at 10inches so i just lst them as needed DDS are way more resilient when it comes to training choco i dint have ti adjust much or many

Only given RO water for the past week for WC2 although, WC1 has been flushing for two weeks so I think today will be their last day of watering and then chop them down due to a little unwanted foxtailing in WC2 and the light pulled back. Before chop theyll have a short period in the dark. Probably not going to have another update for a couple of weeks until the drying process is complete though. Both plants are purpling with WC1's being more intense, and the sparkling trichomes is beautiful stuff excited to try them.

End of week 11. Now I can say the scent permeates , if you lean in to take a sniff. It is a surgery-sweet, lemony smell( in the past, getting trichomes on my finger tips left that smell). Multi-pull buds are taking shape, but there's no clear winner, no cola I can call a main cola. If were to 'eye weigh it' each cola has about in estimated 2.5-3.5grams at the most. Plants are fed the same. 1 or 2 leaves show nitrogen deficiency.. will start to flush now(stopping nutrient feeding).
