When I began the contest I had only grown Magic Melon once before (last winter), it grew in an 18 litre pot, became around 4 feet tall, and completely filled a 3'x3' tent. A friend of mine successfully grew a seed I gave them this summer in a container about 4 litres and the plant was considerably smaller. The fact that it can be successfully grown in less than 250mL is astonishing, I have buds from the one grown last winter that are bigger than the can I grew this one in. Harvested 91 days from sprout.

I'm not happy with the overall harvest...it produced some good tasty smoke due to fine nutes and a wonderfull strain but i fu**ed it up by using a very bad soil...growth was very slow and also lost like 25g due to budrot/mold...again my fault as i set up ventilation the wrong way (RH was good but some buds didn't get enough airflow) Again i learned alot of things and got 275g of good, great smelling smoke...so not that bad...but could be much better 🙂

Hey there the 2 pound cake plants are doing well they grew a decent amount sense a week ago. I turned the light up to about 200umol they seem to be able to take more light earlier than photo plants. I'm wandering if I should be giving it even more light I don't want them to be to small when they go into flower they look nice and the leaves are never sagging

Una semana mas me quedo sorprendido de lo rapido que ha vuelto a ser una selva...🤣 Tube que doblar la mas alta de la mesa A porque tocaba el foco, se recupera bien, pero no entiendo que a dia de hoy sigan creciendo en altura, porque y es demasiado i me quedo sin espacio. He incrementado el riego de tres fases y de 3’ a 5’ para ver si la misma velocidad ee crecimento lo hace en floración.

Well looks like we are going to have another beautiful sugar cane come harvest time of everything continues to go smooth. I just love everything about this strain. It's a potent frosty beast. Shes starting to pop like they always do. I spread the plants out a little this week so they get better light and air flow. Other than that I haven't done anything besides keep the reservoir full. Still pumping nutrients 1 minute on 20 minutes off. They are getting .5 tsp maxibloom per gallon. Not going to run any boosters this round. They dont look like they want or need it.

Definitely interesting temps stayed about 26 degrees C humidity around 60-65%. They’re still alive after a week and I transferred them to the buckets 4/15. Just watered them in the rockwool from 4/3-4/15 pretty much feed the myco + voodoo mix towards the end and plain ph’d water in the mean time.

Day one of week five! 19th September! Small amount of defoliation today as some leaves had been laying on the soil and were turning yellow. Other than that the girls look good I think. A little more LST but think Ive got a good even spread so far.. 🤞🏼 Nutes gone in today Biobizz: Grow/Bloom/TopMax all at 1ml per litre.. Day 3 of week 5! Update 21st September: Nutes gone in again today BioBizz Grow/bloom/Top Max all at 1ml per litre... Starting to see signs of filtered water deficiencies so CalMag going in on next feed @ 1ml/l. Wasn’t sure if my water filter was much cop but looks like it’s better than I thought. Wish I’d gone with my gut and started the CalMag earlier! Other than that I’m giving them a couple more weeks of veg and then we’re going to flower 🌷 all being well 🤞🏼❤️ Day 4 UPDATE: 22nd Sept. More LST to keep things all the same height and encourage more new growth sites.. This week growth has been exceptional! They are all stretching nicely and setting flowers. I foliar sprayed Soluable Kelp, ChitoSal and Rubicon Marinis to help transition to flower. All 2 days apart. Added this months top up of Gaia at 1.5 cups of 4-4-4 and 1.5 cups of 2-8-4 as top dressing. They responded very well to this application. Might start adding a few tbsps of each every week from now on. Still adding compost tea once a week. This compost tea I added 2 tbsp of Gaia 2-8-4. Ran out of fish shit. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Roughly 30 gallons of soil inside cages wrapped in plastic about a foot and a half high amended with 3 cups Gaia 4-4-4 and 2 cups Gaia 2-8-4 and 2 cups Gaia Feather Meal 13-0-0. Topped up each month with a cup of each as well as worm casting/soluble kelp/molasses compost tea once a week. Also Fish Shit amendment added at recommended doses. Orange Kush Cake, Cherry Gar-See-Ya, Mac 'n Jack, Crescendo Rbx1 are all Ethos genetics at 25-35% THC Blue Afghan is from Jordan Of The Islands. Recieved clones in the mail in early May. After 1 week of growing, the Blue Dream'Matic is doing well. I am going to slowly increase its nutrient solution strength and lower the lights to dial in some stronger growing conditions. It has been enjoying 1-2 times a day fertigation so I think the coco medium is draining well. I have included a time lapse of the first week of growth. I am working out the kinks of the setup, so the video is a bit messed up towards the end, but it shows potential that I am going to keep working on! Day 8: transplanted to a larger pot as a significant number of roots were growing out of the seedling bag. Day 9: It looks like there has been a cal-mag or root issue affecting the first set of leaves, which grew in while there was a lower nutrient EC. The new growth has not been showing the same issue, so hopefully the issue has been resolved. Thanks for reading, and happy growing!

Got my growing tent finally.

This week I've been pulling the top fan leaves to stop the plant growing taller and to allow the side branches to catch up. I also started feeding them. I will probably repot and switch to flower next week now they've all outgrown their mutations.

Strange week for the plants as I switch in Hygrozyme Enzyme to help with the roots. A lot of dead tissue being consumed by beneficial microbes and fungi. PH rise more than 10 fold every 24 hours while EC levels rise by a point or two. The old roots are dying and being consumed new while bright, crisp, white roots are appearing. New growth is vigorous and the plants seem to enjoy the transition as hard as it is. Just started to give them full dose of cal mag, mammoth p and recharge. Their leaves got a dark green shiny, yellow tips and curling down, I think my ppms are too high and I will start flushing it out to 1500. I am growing in organic and only feeding cal mag, mammoth p, molasses, recharge and every other week a compost tea with living soil girl flower power full dose. Ph Is around 6.7 and giving it 6.5. Hopefully the next time they are read for a flush I’ll fix these.
