Day 70: Brain Cake seemed thirsty and wanting more nutrients: Topped off water yesterday, added +3ml of hyro A&B and +1ml of power roots & pure enzyme. EC went from 0.8 -> 1.0 Day 71: Brain Cake is showing symptoms, many top leaves have deformed tips and light interveinal chlorosis starting on opposite end of the tip and dark interveinal chlorosis at the end of the tip. EC is 0.8-0.9 (not very accurate meter :/ ) Not sure whether this is a nutrient deficiency or excess/lockout. The ph has been between 5.6 and 6.5 most of the time the past week, the reservoir change was 4-5 days ago. Plagron indicates to give more hydo A&B in proportion to their roots and enzyme nutrients in the first weeks of flowering (during veg these are given in proportion), so maybe these new problems are due to the different balance of nutrients that I may have times wrongly. Finally the problems may be due to the water reservoirs holding approx 12 liters in practice and the Brain Cake drinks approx 2-3.5L a day so maybe the water res is very unstable but after a day the PH usually remains in range and the EC usually drops a bit the first day after adding nutrients and stays pretty stable the rest of the week. Any suggestions are more than welcome! Day 72: Yesterday evening made an upgraded reservoir for the Brain Cake dwc (as we suspect the leaf problems may be due to instable water because of small res and roots nearly completely filling the res). Now the Brain Cake is in a 60L box with approx 32L of water, EC set to 1.0 and ph 5.7-6.5. She seems to be happy, nice and perky this morning. FYI the roots seem more orange in the video! They are on the white side though, just a bit of stain from the nutrients but looking very good overall.

So far so good. Don’t think I’m gonna do any type of training on these but not 100% yet. Get me ideas on what to do.

Hello guys! This week was amazing for my girls & Me! :D 4 of them are showing a great sign of flowering! After I defoliated all and tried main Lining for the first time! I didn’t expect such a great results! They are already healing and I should say: I’m falling in love with growing!! It’s like my thing! After hours and hours reading and searching! When i see them happy like this, feels like all of my efforts are paying off. I just wish they weren’t autos! A newbe grower totally can handle an original femmenized seed! I don’t know why everyone said go for autos for tour firat grow!! I’m practicing most of the trainings suitable for autos till i get real stuff!! Soon! I also got that powerful AC, i was hesitating to buy!! it’s pretty amazing! Now I can grow my pineapple Express at thr best temp 25 degrees with 2200w! I just hope i dont get too suprise when i see the Bill😅

A great pleasure to grow this strain and the automatic version is a really good surprise. I will surely growing it again.

Start of Week 7! Day 44 - 12/12 Big difference in the two Cali Snow plants! The centre "Plant 1" is well along in the flowering process with obvious bud sites forming along the small amount of LST I've been able to get going. Got a bit more stretch out of it but it looks like she's settling down but the sativa flowering of this strain is noticeably behind the indica LSD-25 planted same day in my other diary. The other girl "Plant 2" that is far left and was cooked under the dome early in the grow seems to still be in a pre-flower phase and I'm actually getting a lot of decent stretch/growth in the secondary sites. I'll keep an eye on it for the next week to see if I have to set it off myself with a 12/12 cycle but there are a few pistils here and there. Hopefully it's just a little set back in its timing because it's going to turn out to be the biggest of all 3 plants I have going now. Will have the best veg base for flowering for sure. Hopefully I won't have to set it to 12/12 and rob the other two plants I have further along in flower of a few hours of light a day. Gave another feed with upped nutes but still playing it on the low side. Going up a little each feeding and no signs of burn on any of the girls yet. Making sure I'm chasing feeds with plain water and spraying the top layer with plain water here and there to keep any build up at bay; Since the girls aren't big enough for full pot runoff feeds due to small size. Day 48 - 12/16 You can see how different the timing on the two Cali Snow are. I'm loving the extra time with Plant 2 to set up bigger secondary branches and the pistils still seem to be SLOWLY forming near the top and mature sites. In an attempt to avoid switching her to 12/12 to fully trigger the flower, I've let the temperature drop down a bit to the high teens with the light on by lettering in the winter air and keeping the tent open with lights on. Hopefully the lower temp here and there over the next couple days will get it moving. Plant 1 is well along in it's flower. The bud sites are well defined and the stretch seems to be wrapping up bringing it in just a bit bigger than my small LSD-25 in my other diary going right now. Pulled it out and reset some new LST on the plant with a less drastic lean. Clipped a few fan leaves and 3 fingers from the two Cali's, anything blocking light or bunching up too much but tried to leave as much as possible for energy production. The classic Cali Snow smell I was warned about is starting to come in. Even P2 with little to no flowers is throwing off a nice scent. Still tent contained without exhaust for now so no worries on that front. Day 50 - 12/18 Gave them their biggest feeding today in both nutes and volume. Both split a mix of 1ml each PH Perfect MGB with 1tsp Molasses in a gallon of water with a half gallon plain water chase. First time the plants have been big/thirsty enough for a run-off feeding. Will spray top layer in a day to clean top layer of any residue then top with D-Earth sprinkle to let sit until next feed. These girls have gone from identical to fraternal twins. P2 on the left is looking more like the plant I wanted in terms of size and spread. The set back in flowering time has really allowed me to train it up and get lower branches up to a pseudo-canopy. It looks like it's FINALLY about to make the final switch as the still bright pre-flower tops are starting to shoot more pistils and new leaf growth has that telltale upward point as the spread comes to an end. P1 is full flower swing is chugging along nicely as I opened her up main stem up with some selective defoliation and the thin sativa bud structure is slowly but surely coming in. As a new grower, seeing the fatten/faster Indica flower of my LSD-25 right next to the Sativa on the same schedule is a great observational experience. 👽 The smell of the two Cali Snows are finally starting to ripen up. Re-potted into ceramic pots today and, indeed, the bottom 3/4 of the soil was quite damp. The root system was larger than I expected but quite grey in color, not vibrant white. I'm going away for 10 days so I'll just leave these babies alone and hopefully they lively up themselves.

26.12.24: I have noticed light stress on my plants. I had moved the lights further away and increased the light intensity to 70%. Unfortunately that created some issues. Namely severe palour of the leaves. To try and rectify the situation, I've dimmed the lights to about 30%, staying at the same distance, about 30 inches away. I measured the par levels, after I did this. They should a reading of anywhere between 40 and 150, at the canopy of the plants. They are all different sizes. This seems to have improved the colouring on all plants. After this evenings watering, I will monitor recovery and increase lighting intensity again slowly. I am also using the light cycle of 21/3, so the plants have many hours more light to absorb, than for example 12/12 or 18/6. I am pleased with the progress, considering all of my mistakes! 29.12.24: So I finally gave LST a shot, it's probably a bit too late, however I really want to get the most of the triploid pheno, and I went a little crazy and LST'd all plants except 2, as they're too small. I did that late last night, this afternoon I was amazed to see the plants turn their leaves back to the light source. I'm glad I overcame my fear of trying it. Finishing up this run. Two plants have been chopped and I’m waiting on the final three. Pulled the two earlier than I wanted but it’ll just allow me to learn more. Hoping to chop these next week. All about the fade.

Week 5 of vegging has come to an end. The girls are drinking daily and the new tops are developing nicely. I've been stressing the tops a bit, bending them down to let light hit the next set of nodes. The light is now at 24" and at 60 %. I'll be adjusting the intensity and height to keep dli relative. I've also been gradually decreasing light time over the course of 6 days and are currently at 14 hours. The next week will be transition to flower, giving me approximately 9 weeks to finish.
