So after my 29th April update last week, I have only given ph’d water, I do have some nutrient burn but hoping that I can sort this out over the next few days, it’s my 1st issue I’ve had but my own doing due to giving too many nutrients as not reading properly. In a way am pleased because I won’t be making that mistake again. I did take a couple of huge fan leaves off that I considered “light blocking” on day 18 and she seems to have recovered well. Other than that it has been a good week.

This week went great. The ladies are still looking happy and healthy. Bud sites everywhere. One plant is monster cropped and looks insane. As far as I can tell they are done stretching out now. Took off some leaves covering bud sites and some of the bottom limbs not getting much light. Happy Growing y’all 🔥💨💚✌️🏼

Medium: 🥥🥥🥥🥥 Coco remains as the most manageable medium in our arsenal. It’s simplistic, similar to conventional soil but as a nutrient neutral medium, it’s also much more tailored to the growers preferences in terms of feeding. It’s best attribute is excellent drainage and consistency - a lot fluffier than soil which definitely translates to faster growth rates. It’s a damn shame that this particular grower forgot the cardinal f$&@king rule when it comes to any grow - always water to run off and pay attention to the strength of the feed in relation to the plants growth stage. If we had followed these basic principles we wouldn’t have run into the serious late stage burn that almost toasted the whole plant. On the flip side of that, coco flushes out incredibly well and if not for this attribute, the whole grow would’ve been an unmitigated disaster. Method 🎚️🎚️🎚️🎚️ Uggghhh - hindsight f$&@‘n sucks sometimes. Best descriptor for how we grew this girl - imagine having the dinner table set with your finest china, a bottle of the most expensive red wine you can find, a brand new top-o-the-line BBQ, and then burning the absolute f$&k out of a $40 prime rib. That’s exactly how this grow feels... We were looking to scrog it the whole time and this went perfectly. The plant helped quite a bit with longer than expected internodal spacing. This allowed for a really even canopy/bed of buds. Again though, the vipar 450w (truly a 200w~) shit the bed mid veg. And we needed a replacement. Went with a 100w SpiderFarmer QB. While I truly am pleased with the purchase I do believe that we should’ve upp’d to the 200w model (or 2, 100w models) to achieve a similar output and result - @silverback_guerilla was right on point with the lighting advice (*again). Given the reduced yield it just feels like the nodal spacing and overall bud quality may have suffered with the reduced power. This, despite the better light spectrum and overall coverage in general. As an aside - an additional Fixture is now on the way😉👍. Worst part about this is we’ll never really know what the true limiting factor actually was due to the nute burning. Probably the single most stupid, rook mistake I could’ve made was not watering to runoff.... just too much shit going down in the world (and in life) these days and I started to treat the grow like it was on auto pilot🤬🤬🤬. The whole worlds a cluster f$&k right now so why should the grow be any different right? 4/5 for the method, losing1 point because the grower is a lazy moron. Yield/Harvest🌴 The final numbers are better than expected, 2.26oz of usable bud. Not overly fluffy and not overly dense. Not glazed in frost but not without a little shimmer. All around mediocre unfortunately. What it coulda? Shoulda? Woulda been??? Note sure 🤔 but we’ll take it👍. On a more positive note - There was still another new addition to our grow cycle. This time on the back end. Everyone knows that trimming just plain sucks. When we’re spitt’n out 3-4 plants every few months, the exercise is a dreaded necessity if were gonna maintain the vast array of choice that we’re used to🤙👌. The whole process just for one plant can take hours unless you have help. We prefer to wet trim too so for those that don’t require a commercial size trimmer, the only option to save some time is a trim bowl. We bit the bullet, dropped the cash on one - have NOT been disappointed at all! Not only did it cut the chop process from 2-3 hours down to a mere 45 minutes, the buds literally came out rack ready. There was no need to do any touch up trimming and the bud photos you see are as-is, right out the bowl🤩. Really coulda used this last fall and I would recommend this to anyone who chops more than a handful of plants per year. Just awesome and worth every penny!👌🤙👍 At times like these, we should all just be thankful that we still have both the opportunity and ability to grow our own✌️. Out of Amsterdam, they are the 2nd such breeder to market their genetics worldwide and can lay claim to the origins of their beans better than most (if not all) others. They’ve produced here an indica hybrid cross of M33/Friesland Indica with an elite clone of Lava Cake. We’re hoping to encounter one of the purple phenos but only time will tell. She’s supposed to be super strong too and not for the faint of heart 👍. We’ve been wait’n on this one awhile and she’ll be getting individual treatment in the small cab - 5gal. Coco w/perlite and the typical nute regimen. Advance props for the best packaging I’ve ever seen (although you may need to be an 80’s baby or older to truly appreciate it😉). See week 1 photos.

Day 70 Bloom time checking trikes. Clear but think and long. Good head forming on trikes. I'll try to take some pics. Check em out. Day 71 Bloom. Day 72 Watered them because the pot seemed light. I also upgraded my grow room with a sensor that records humidity and temperature 24 hours a day and uploads it to my phone to see high low or potential problems. I checked the trichomes with a Jeweler's loupe in my microscope and they're still clear possibly turning cloudy. Maybe 10% cloudy Day 73 Same for trikes at day 72. The plant in the front left looks like she's suffering from some deficiency. So I'm going to give her some spot treatments of some quick nutrients. Day 74 I hope I don't burn her. But I feel I need more than a micro dose. Friend dropped off some Overdrive. I'm gonna dose them tonight. I keep thinking of the song should I cut or Let It Grow. If no cut tomorrow maybe double should I cut or Let It Grow now. LOL can you get the song Day 75 Bloom plants not showing signs of stress from feeding. Gonna hold off on pics for a few days to show a greater change. Day 76 The plant is showing nanners so I'm pulling her from the grow tent for 48 hours of Darkness then I'm cultivating her. The other plants are still fattening their buds with white stigmas so I'm going to let them go a few more days.

Weekly Update: Aug 16th Plants seem to be doing ok, runoff numbers creeping back to safety, buds swelling nicely. I think i cut Grow to early for sativa leaning pheno, will re-introduce 1ml/gal for the next few feedings and see. Pots drying back slower than normal, dont know why, best geuss is root mass is tight and soil is aswell. Just gotta ride it out, 5-6 more weeks to go! Smells like a glass of orange juice close up, but a heavy kush smell in the vicinity of the tent. had to supercrop a few stems on sativa leaning girl, ive gotten better and havent destroyed anymore tops lol.

10/27: I rearranged the garden today and checked to see if she needed water yet. Nope.. 10/28: I watered her with about 1/4 gallon including terpinator, bembe, cal-mag, and some beastie bloomz because she's a little K deficient. 10/29: She's only stretching about an inch every couple of days..spending more energy on pistils, which is fine by me. Damn she's a hungry one, though! I'm still planning to flush tomorrow with no major nutes, but will give her another little dose of N and a metric shit-ton of P and K once she dries back out. 10/30: I decided not to do a flush and just did a very thorough watering today with added terpinator, bembe, cal-mag, humic acid, myco and bene bacti. I put about a half-gallon through her and let her sit and soak up all the run-off. It should take a few days for her to dry out. 10/31: I checked her moisture level. I'll feed her tomorrow. She's still looking P and.or K deficient despite my attempts to correct it. 11/1: I took her out of the closet and did a little defoliating. I sprinkled a little bat guano on her soil and fed her with about a half-gallon including all the good stuff, including beastie bloomz and full strength Tiger bloom. Surely that'll do the trick... 11/2: She still looks terribly K deficient and I just don't get it..thinking maybe my Ph tester needs recalibration or something. Like, maybe it's just to acidic for the K to be absorbed... I sprayed her thoroughly with boom boom spray and a little tiger bloom today.

The sour stomper appears to like her new lighting. She gets a little fatter everyday and I have now begun a flushing cycle. Going to let this girl grow as long she wants. I want to see those hairs recede.

It has been raining and raining since whatever... 2 weeks....checked the trichomes nice milky white. Based on the fact the the weather won't be better and also the temperature is lower day by the now usually 6 Celsius degrees in the evening and 13-16 during the day or less, I decided to harvest next week. I was thinking to let her out 3 more weeks just to have more amber trichomes but she is OK, ready but this weather is not ... She is sativa dominant as I saw in the breeder's description so totally cool. So she ain't gonna be maturing that much she reached the point.... especially because no sun.... ... but compare to that she has som nice colas so I am excited let's see soo guys. This week went ok . I noticed there are Rust spots on the leaves that was due to I didn't have my carbon filter at the time but I do now and the plants have been treated today with the spray .but other then that thay ar doing well . Edit from 19th May. Literally 00:09 Pre-Flowering. Fat Banana looks like Hermie. Royal Critical = clean pre-flower. Edit from 19th May. 16:26 Fat Banana had balls sack and pistils growing all over the place. I nuked everything that had balls on it. I left only top node with pistils. Royal Critical is full of pistils, no balls. Now I wish I had photoperiod seeds instead of automatics. I would give Critical 1 extra week in veg. She is around 10-15cm smaller then Fat Banana. I switched the lights back to 400W. Edit from 20th May. 14:45 I think 32C is maximum what these plants can handle. With 600W I was reaching 34C on some top leaves and that could possibly turn the Fat Banana into hermit (she was the tallest). I open the tent a little (front doors), I put big-ass fan on second gear blowing strong wind through the mesh-window of a tent. I put the lights straight up to the ceiling, I literally can't put them any higher. Fat banana is now 58cm tall and around 80cm away from the light. Royal Critical is now 41cm tall and around 100cm away from the light. 50% Humidity 28C under the canopy/on the ground under the leaves 31C Air temperature. They may be taking their time, but their vitality and uniqueness shine through every step of the way. Environmental Conditions: Keeping Things Balanced This week has been about maintaining a steady environment despite the natural slowdown in growth due to cooler temperatures. • Temps: Daytime 18–20°C, nighttime 14–16°C. It’s a bit chillier than usual, but these resilient ladies are adapting beautifully. • Humidity: Stable at 65%, ensuring the girls remain hydrated and comfortable. • Airflow: Gentle but constant to keep the space fresh and prevent any stagnant air pockets. Feeding Program: Aptus Holland Perfection Feeding remains consistent, and the girls are loving the organic-mineral lineup from Aptus Holland. Still no cloning or flipping to 12/12 yet, as I want them to grow a bit more before making any big moves. Next week, I’ll decide whether to flip them for a brief period to determine sex or wait until cloning is feasible.
