🌾 Harvest Day — The Grand Finale of the Eternity Grow Cup 🌾 Days 72–73 | Trimmed on May 25 | Posted May 27 What a journey this has been — and what a finish. These five incredible Runtz phenos have now completed their cycle, and today, we celebrate the final stage of their flowering life: the Harvest. We sent the girls into darkness on Day 70, allowing them a full 48+ hours of rest and reset. The dark period was just a bit longer, truth be told, because time… it flows as it must. This extended dark time helps increase resin production, allowing the trichomes to mature just that final bit more. On Days 72 and 73, we harvested them with care and reverence. Each plant was hung upside down, whole, in a perfectly controlled 60% humidity environment for 13 full days. Before hanging, we gently removed only the fan leaves, leaving all trichome-rich sugar leaves in place — a natural armor for the delicate resin glands during drying. Why do we do this? Because those sugar leaves help protect the essential oils and terpenes, preserving potency, flavor, and aroma for the smoothest experience later on. 🌿 The Dry Room & The Trichome Guardians Throughout the drying, we used a moisture meter to monitor the moisture content in the stems. Once it dropped to around 12–13%, we knew it was time. This tool is a simple but game-changing ally in ensuring a perfect dry — not too fast, not too slow. We then trimmed everything by hand over a 6.5-hour focused session. Armed with trim bins and good energy, we collected an abundance of glistening trichome heads in the process — a golden bonus from these resin-packed beauties. The leaves themselves told a story: deep purples, near-black shades, autumn fades and metallic tones — just stunning. Each girl was trimmed in order: #5 → #4 → #3 → #2 → #1, revealing dense, chunky buds all the way from top to bottom. Not a single pop-corn bud among them — only rock-solid nugs, heavyweight champions in every sense. 📦 Cure Begins – Grove Bags & Glass Jars Once trimmed, the buds were tucked carefully into Grove Bags and glass jars, each stabilized at around 61% RH. The Grove Bags handle the microclimate beautifully, keeping humidity between 58–61%, perfect for preserving all that hard-earned quality. We’re now opening the jars daily, monitoring aroma and feel. This part of the process — the cure — is where the soul of the flower truly comes to life. ☀️ UV, Reds & The Perfect Run Part of what made this run so special was the precision in light spectrum. 40% whites, full reds, UV and IR, and the girls responded like royalty. The UV pushed trichome development to the max. The deep reds gave us thickness, color, and weight. To my eyes, this was a perfect run. ⚖️ Final Yield: 1,302 Grams (1.3 kg) In a 4x4 tent — that’s just 1.2m x 1.2m for metric friends — we pulled in 1,302 grams of flower, not even counting the buds that were taken for filming, photos, or “quality control testing” along the way. 😉 Dense. Loud. Sticky. Resinous. 🌿 The Hidden Half: A Tribute to the Roots In every grow, there’s a part we don’t always see — a part that lives underground, quietly holding everything together. The roots. And this time, I wanted to honor them too. When we unpotted the plants after harvest, we were met with massive, dense root systems, completely filling the Autopot trays. These roots were vibrant, white and healthy, looking like noodles in a thick herbal soup — a true sign of vitality. Not a whole lot happening this week. Just waiting for the plants to mature and go from there. The mites are prioritizing the weaker plants and I am ok with that. I have introduced some predator bugs that should eat them. They are the ones that tend to eat thrips and white flys however the guys at the grow shop said if they only have mites they will eat them instead. They won't however go onto the webs if they start forming any. I have not seen any webs but who knows, might be some hidden. little fuckers are good at going undetected for a while. Just giving them water now till its all done and over with. Will not be drying this crop as that's when the mites will go crazy. Fresh harvest and frozen asap. The one CBG plant seems to be thriving in all the chaos looks nice and healthy and good frost on it. Some of the other plants are loosing some upper main leaves. Could be fade. Could be issue in the roots. Don't really care, so close to being done. Added one photo of honeymints from an old grow for a contest.

Not a lot happened last week, just monitoring, feeding, and keeping everything in check while the girls did their thing. I did switch over to my finishing nutrients and have cut out calmag according to feeding chart I have been following. I think we are gettting pretty close to harvest though! The trichomes are starting to get a little milky. I am going to wait until about 30% amber to harvest though. I am getting super excited to finish this one and start my next run! 9/2 - The girls have been doing great and are starting to pack on the size and frost nicely! Nothing to do to them really except monitor and keep checking and making sure everything is running at an optimal level. The closer it gets I start to get a little nervous for the dry. I am prepared and have a plan, just hopefully I can get my dry set up as dialed in as I was able to get my grow tent. I will try to post more updates this week. Last week I had company from out of town, so it was difficult to get around to it. 9/5- Just continuing to monitor and check the trichomes, once about 25-30% turn amber I will be harvesting! They are starting to get pretty cloudy right now. When I did the res change yesterday, I switched to just root drip and full tilt and have started flushing, hopefully not too early, but im following my feeding chart. También una defoliación, que le dejé solo hojas en los dos últimos nudos. Y nada, mantuvieron el sustrato húmedo, con el riego del propio trasplante. Así que estas pidiendo agua, y en cuanto se vuelva a encender el foco, le daremos su riego. Y bueno, ya pocos días restan para que empiece la fase de floración. Willkommen zu meinem Growbericht der legendären Green Gelato Automatic von Royal Queen Seeds. Das "Neue" an diesem Bericht sind die 9 Liter Stofftöpfe, die ich zum ersten Mal verwende. Laut Hersteller (rooties dot eu, ex Chiliwelten, ex Chillwelten) sind das die ersten komplett 2-lagigen Stofftöpfe auf dem Markt. Dadurch sollen die Töpfe im Sommer nicht so schnell austrocknen. Ebenfalls zum ersten Mal verwende ich die Smart Start Plugs von Zamnesia. Ich bin schon sehr gespannt, wie sich die Samen darin entwickeln. Bis auf meinen letzten Grow hatte ich eine eigene Erdmischung verwendet. Darin waren wohl zu viele aggressive Erdbewohner, die mich einige Samen gekostet hatten. Jetzt wird BioBizz All-Mix verwendet, weil sich mein letzter Grow darin sehr schön entwickelt. Tag 21: Die Green Gelato Automatic von Royal Queen Seeds entwickelt sich kräftig. Bei dem Anblick freut es mich, auf die Stofftöpfe umgestiegen zu sein. Tag 24: Wegen des kompakten Wuchses ist es nicht so leicht, LST anzuwenden. Der Stamm ist sehr kräftig, die Ästchen sind dagegen noch klein. Deshalb ist nur der Hauptstamm gebogen. Und Sie hat einen halben Liter Nahrung bekommen. Tag 25: Drei Blätter entfernt. Schau mal wieder rein ✋😎

Once again, this week starts where the former one ended. With the exception of all the cables you can see in the first picture. I dared to install a minimalized version of the Raspi control only controlling the self-built humidifier and one blower/fan combination. I was very pleased to see how easily the simple diffusor can hold optimum VPD as long as temperatures are high and humidity tends to fall below optimum VPD. A single 10 seconds evaporation can hold the level for about 2–3 minutes. I am not pleased to see the Monsanto blowers rather underperform. It’s impossible to reduce humidity or temperature with both running on full speed, while a lifting of the tent door will bring immediate changes. With the Raspi/Arduino success so far*, I am thinking about using old Power Mac fans which are WCM controllable and use 12 V. At least one to increase air intake, and maybe even the blowers. * It wasn’t any problem at all to have the Arduino collect CO2 and soil moisture data, so after some more cable manufacturing (aka helpless soldering), I could extend the Raspi control. I’m still uncertain about the camera module (@trelorny impressed me with his time lapse videos). I don’t want to put the hardware into the tent with its not so electronics friendly climate, already risking some rare outages of the temp/hum sensor. But the camera module cannot be placed far away. So maybe I’ll use the 3A model I own as a spare part as a camera driver. Any maybe, if it works, invest in a better camera module. Mine is generation 1. Oh, and the ladies! Gave them slightly fertilised water yesterday, and even it or the better VPD yesterday or a combination of both make me believe bud growth is a bit more visible today. The smell in the morning when I open the tent to release accumulated humidity is outstanding. They were already thirsty on day 57 again, so pure RO + a bit of tap water until it spilled out of their pot’s bottoms. Many fan leaves turning autumnally now, and the smallest Sherbet suffered a bit from over-fertilisation as I wrote. But it this stage I don’t go for leaf beauty anymore. Just another learning: Don’t use differently sized pots anymore. Hard to feed them individually this way. VPD was mostly in best range yesterday, and I have the feeling it really supports their bud growth. I added an "Evening time" option to my Raspi control that allows the humidity to sink a selected time before lights shut down. That made it possible to have humidity in best range for most of the night time too. They were even dry again on day 58 morning. Another time just water. The blowers cannot cope with the flowers’ smell anymore, and so sometimes my flat cannot hide who shares it with me. Day 60 presents me with a problem: I’ll leave on Friday for a few days. Considering the microscope pictures are not from the tops buds: Would you say it’s safe to give them another week? Problem solved on day 61. Only clean water from now on, and next week will be their last. You won’t see any new pictures for some days now. Me too … Something I wanted to share with you before I leave: I just finished to update my grow box control with a new PWM fan hat that keeps the Raspi cool, while at the same an infrared sensor can now measure real leaf and additional ambient temperature. Setup is much cleaner and more robust now, but I wish my flux would not make the solder stick to the tip of the machine instead of making it flow and stick at the tiny tiny spots I have to hit …

Bullet is strong, resilient and heavy with buds. This gal exceeded my expectations in growth, appearance, and aromas. I can't wait to try Afghan Bullet. This may be my new favorite 😍.

This 3 ladies are big! They have achieved a beautiful structure, very bushy full of bud sites everywhere, this plants are very awesome to apply lst, the secondary branches tend to stretch a lot! However I'm growing this strain with another 8 strains in SOG so I just applied a selective defoliation and they are ready to develop some nice colas! I'm just growing in recycled soil from my previous grows re amended with FLO Living soil blend snd just water!

Was a productive week with the aerogarden grow box. Cleaned the tank, water pump, air stones, nutrients probe and a massive massive clean up with the plant itself. I must have removed close to a pound in leafs from this plant over a 3 day period, every time I'd look at it id see a section that I missed. I lowered the PPM down a bit and also trying to keep the temperature in the res down a bit also. Hoping to be done in a few weeks. Happy growing everyone
