Removed a pair of the larger leaves to allow for more light to hit the side branches. As the pics show I've introduced a couple of ladybugs to see if they can actually be used for pest control. They've survived but look quite passive.. Not sure there's enough for them to eat :-).

Well the end of week 8 was glorious looking forward to week 9 all by itself. Yeeehaaa.

Skipped a week in my journal last week, as I was traveling. Had my neighbor water my plants. Came back and everything was looking great with the Lion Claw. I WAS having some minor early deficiencies with my photoperiod plants though... so I decided to go ahead and give everything a solid feeding of Foop Bloom 1, 2 and Sweetener. Also top dressed the Lion Claw and mulched with rice straw to help with the soil drying out a bit too quickly. She's a big plant for being in a 5-gallon pot. I have a sneaking suspicion that my neighbor didn't water them quite enough while I was gone. Will probably continue with the Foop feedings... probably once per week. Don't want to overdo it. 8/4 LIGHTLY sprayed with gravenstein apple FFJ and OHN. 8/6 LIGHTLY sprayed base soil area with neem oil / castile soap mixture.

*****Week 9 - September 14 to 20, 2020 - Days 57 to 63 from germination****** They were feeding well this week and took the higher more consistent amount of nutes well this week. Had to make a decision at the end of the week and I took out the small full spectrum light to put in the photo tent. They are in flower now and I held off as long as I can. These girls are closer to the end and I will keep the intensity focussed on LAK3 and GSC and let the other two live in the shadows and ripen😎 Not my first choice but everything is a trade off in life unfortunately☹️ Not an issue outdoor growers deal with👍 Little more detail: Sept 14/20 - Day 57 - Massive @ 3ml, Terpinator @ 2ml, Vitathrive & Liquid Weight & Rezin & Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml - 1,000ppm and 5.8pH - Feed for only LAK1......other girls area going to dry out another night. Sept 15/20 - Day 58 - Overdrive & Rezin @ 2ml, Liquid Weight & Vitathrive @ 1.5ml, Dual Fuel @ 1ml - 650ppm and 5.6pH - 2L given to each girl Sept 17/20 - Day 60 - Overdrive & Rezin @ 1.5ml - 200ppm and 5.3pH - 2L each given to the girls. - Just a bit to help with swelling. 12/11/22 - Added some more soil to each pot because the top roots were starting to show. Mixed in perlite and diatomaceous earth. Watered and fed, giving bloom nutes now along with everything else. About 1000ppm's. After another week or 2 of stretch, will go in and defoliate hard one last time. 12/12/22 - big overnight growth spurt! Upped the nutes a little bit and they seem to have responded well. 12/14/22 - Watered with plain water. 12/16/22 - not much to report, they are continuing to fill out and stretch. Have had to raise the lights several times the past week and a half. Am anxious to defoliate and really see the buds start fattening up, will do sometime next week. 12/17/22 - gave nutes today. CKM is losing more leaves than I want, but seems to be healthy overall. Will have to keep an eye on that. All are continuing to stretch.

Still a few more days on these.

Clones are ready to become monsters, roots are exploring the fabric pots, while tops are growing vertically and creating new nodes everyday. I think it's almost time to trigger the flip, I'm limited with heights and these babies will probably stretch a bit. One more veg week and we'll jump into the flowering stage!

Off to the races after the first week of veg. And the girls are looking good. They had about 24-48 hours of transplant shock but have since turned over and look perky. They never fully transitioned and all of em look like they’re turning back around. Definitely starting to see some pheno variation on one of the indicas (F6) - trademark from the Skywalker 100%. A light bluish/purpleish hue on the fan leaves. We’ll see what happens over the next week then probably just pick a day and flip. We don’t need em huge - just big enough to show off dem buds. On the hardware side of this grow, the mods to the dutchy system look to be working well. It just makes plant management easier with a full trough drain as opposed to individual drainage holes. Really, the system isn’t a concern for the most part. It’s proven time and time again how manageable a recirc system can truly be. Scaling down to smaller pots and more plants has also been a revelation of sorts around here. We used to grow monsters and now the aim is strictly proportional yields across a wider array of genetics. Been a great trip so far🤟. Couple more boring weeks of veg. And as soon as the breeding tent is cleaned up and pollen free - it’s go for blast-off👍. Background This cycle of clones represents all the potential of this F1 line of WalkerBerry OG. Bred by myself over the last couple of years. This genetic shows excellent hybrid vigour, incredibly stable nutrition requirements to date and an eclectic mix of long and short internodal spacing bu specimen. We know we have indica and sativa dominant traits spread evenly across the 6 available clones. Now it’s just a matter of seeing them run out under controlled and pollen free conditions. We’ve labelled each plant and it’s resulting seed accordingly. Once we get to the F2 run, we’ll hopefully be able to isolate down to 2-3 phenos if the bud is any good. From there, who knows. It’d be great to get to a finished, stable generation that would be fem worthy but that could be a very long way off. For now - we’ll focus on this line and see where it goes🤞🤞.

Flowering described earlier than I expected, more than 1 week after the vegetation phase would be bigger and more beautiful, has an effect with pleasant sensations and euphoric as the sativa dominant is accustomed to the aroma of lemon and citrus.
