bueno se hizo una por primera vez una cosecha por partes, como indicamos en el post anterior, se cosecho los cogollos donde la luz pegaba mas al parecer y estaban mas desarrollados, la cosecha fue con tricomas blancos tendiendo a transparentes con pocos ambar, en opinion ya luego de una semanas y una segunda cosecha, es que cosechamos pronto por temor al pasarnos al ser primera vez, entonces posiblemente nos apresuramos un poco ligeramente o confundimos los tricomas tendiendo a ser transparente por los blancos que es lo que indica la teoria el punto de corte, pero no nso quejamos quedo genial! subiremos el segundo punto de corte luego de 2 semanas . Tied her down as much as possible. Removed any leaves blocking any bud sites. I also removed most of the outside fan leaves for no other reason then they are getting too long, not keeping their hands to themselves. I added a video of the roots this week.

Its clear at this point that Big Lemon is root bound bc i did not transfer her into 7gal w/One Shot. So, this week she is recovering from a calcium deficiency because my (now former) hydro store completely lagged on my 5 gal of Herc. Damn you , ZenHydro!!!! Hence, lots of sacrificed and cooked leaves, but of course the buds are fine 😎.

She took 14 days to dry and now I’m trimming her up. Buds are a little on the smaller side but the density is on point. Terps are candy gas

The best plant I have grown so far. 64 grams for 3.7 liters (1 gallon). Drying for 8 days. Dead at 92 days of life, practically the rhythm of an automatic with powerful results. Flush in the last week, very light. Two separate times 4 days before harvest.

3/23: I let them go totally dry this time and fed them with about 3/4 gallon each including terpinator, signal, sweet & sticky, cal-mag, armor si, cha ching, tiger bloom, big bloom, and humic acid. This was probably the last time the shorter one gets any nutes. She's ripening up now.😃 3/27: I watered them today with about 3/4 gallon of filtered water with sticky & sweet, terpinator, signal, cal-mag, and a little bit of cha ching. I looked them over pretty well. Soooperrunt is the furthest behind of the three plants, but her cola is gonna be massive. This was the last time that the other two get any nutes at all. I'll flush them once they are dry.

So I planted this girl 2 weeks after my first grow but instead I put this in the garden just to see if it would do any good outside.. it’s done so much better then I ever thought it would with very little care, not been fed that often and sometimes just left to rainfall. I even took it out of the flower bed and potted it during early flower and still she kept going just fine :) bonus plant

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. It has been 6 weeks of flowering , this week specifically I have seen a lot of changes in the buds development. The ph and the ppm level of the reservoir is fluctuating very much. The PH drops to around 5.3 and PPM was reaching 1800 . The best way to solve this is probably to add plain water into the reservoir to balance the PH and the PPM level. This lady sure loves to produce sugar leaves , i defoliate loads of leaves but the leafs doesn't seem to stop growing out from the buds. I decreased the amount of light per day , I am giving her 11.30 hours of light instead of 12 hrs . I checked light leaks again but still pretty sure that it is not the problem here . The nutes supplier told me to increase the ratio of Superbud blue bud and superbud orange bud so that it can enhance the bud development . This week i got some new nutes from my bro "Master Mine" which i will try out on my next run . PS . Sorry for the high light exposure in the video , i was playing around with my new DJI osmo pocket . Any ideas on how long she's going to take until she's done?

This was a very easy strain to grow and she took very well to LST. I thought she may have been stunted early on due to have to much power on the light but once it was dialed down and found where she liked it, she took off. I had no deficiencies along the way and she produced some pretty fat and dense buds. To me, she’s putting out a pretty potent earthy citrus smell and looking forward to getting her into curing jars in the next 7-10 days to really bring her smell out. Overall for growth and being able to harvest at around 70 days, I give this girl a 10 out of 10 and we’ll see about the smoke report in the next week or two.

160 days of life harvested on day 63 of flower. I don’t have photos of her vegging but she started off great. About two weeks in, she started having some major issues. Her leaves started atrophying, curling up at the borders, growing 3 finger leaves, all new growth was deformed and twisted and growth in general almost stopped completely, to what I suspect was from broad mites. These fuckers are nasty! I dm’d my local grow shop and tried out some Neem Oil. I diluted it in water like they recommended and sprayed that baby every day for one week, then every other day the following week, then down to once a week. I sprayed her leaves stem and surface of the soil. I also cleaned the entire grow space with some bleach solution. Doing this allowed her to really bounce back, growth started to take off again! So I vegged for a few more weeks and trained her as much as I could to keep her uniform but short, she responded well to this. During flower, she was very happy. I had two main issues during this time, one was being too hot in Nitrogen and a week of very hot temperatures which burned her a slight bit, although she didn’t seem to mind much. I also could’ve continued a once a week spray of Neem oil because I think they might’ve started to come back on the lower and younger leaves that weren’t getting much light. Overall it was a dope grow and hope to do better on the next one!
