Greeting of the day! First of all, thanks to everybody who is engaging and interacting with my diary and myself. I truly enjoy and appreciate you all! The time laps of the first LST is relevant to week 4, but decided to put it here as well for the contrast. For the last week, i have increased watering volumes and put them on regular schedule, and i see pretty massive grow. Jumped from 15 to 35cm in height and thats after the first LST. I am not feeding the girls anything but water with regulated PH. Seems that the soil is rich enough to keep them fed. Today (day 33), ive decided to perform another LST, more radical than the first one. The main stems started to shoot up and it seems that the rest of the body is falling behind in growth, so i bended and twisted around the main columns of 2/3 girls. Is seems that they have reacted extremely positively. I see immediate development of secondary columns (check out the photo right after lst and in 4 hours) Also, I’ve defoliated, well… removed one leaf that I was not able to tuck anywhere. P.S. Oh! got the girls a new fan, specially designed for grow tents. They are happy and so am I. The smell is so nice, if i leave the tent open it fills the room almost immediately. Looking like 3 more weeks until harvest. I’m going to start flushing in about 10-12 days

A good week for the pink lady, no issues, the heatwaves have subsided a bit and there is a cold front that moved in. The RH has been steady, between 50-55%. I have decreased the nutrients further to just a bit of micro and cal mag. I have begun my process of “flushing” where I increase the water volume to allow for a 10-15% runoff. I find that this does not strip or shock the plant of nutrients it is still needing to fatten up. I do this for the last 4-5 feeds ending with straight phd water.

As of day 14, I am happy (although a little worried) about how the grow is going. Growth continues to be somewhat strong and new growth seems to be healthy, but the issue that affected the lower leaves has left me a little spooked. It has continued to the second set of leaves to a limited degree. I have mostly eradicated the fungus gnats who moved in from some houseplants so that is a plus. Poor transplanting technique could have also damaged the roots, as the issues became most apparent after potting up to 1 gallon containers. Although I have been very careful to PH my nutrients after mixing, I realize I was not PHing at every fertigation and may have missed some early swings upwards in my watering reservoir so I am now being more diligent making sure the PH is consistently under 6.2. I am hoping that these actions will have fixed whatever issue was occurring, but if there is anything I may have missed please let me know! I have a expanded the timelapse to contain all the growth up to day 14, and will continue to re-edit it for every week. Thanks for reading, and happy growing! Day 16: began LST to expose/encourage the new branches. There has been plenty of healthy new growth, so I suspect that the leaf issues were due to temporary PH fluctuations in my watering reservoir that went undetected. Thank you to those who answered my grow question! 👍 Day 17: FIMed the Blue Dream'matic, which has been growing strongly. I went a little more aggressive because in the past I have messed the technique up by getting mostly leaf instead of the new node of growth. Hopefully it goes well this time! Day 18: more LST will wait as my smaller plant Staples do not have enough hold, when I transplant to 5g pots I will continue. Day 20: a few lower leaves continue to show the browning. I will transplant at day 21 which will give me a chance to check the roots, and I will be adding h202 to my watering bucket to prevent pH swings due to bacteria (which I believe has caused the issue). The plant is still growing vigorously and is branching well post FIM.

*ADVISE NEEDED* The day before yesterday I discovered a huge error in my system. I placed filter material in the feed-throughs of the breeding boxes. This is to prevent the roots from growing together over time. However, what I caused with that is very difficult to explain. The bottom line is that the distribution of food and circulation was actually not good at all. This also explained the differences in the water temperature, but also PH and EC values. That is now completely under control because it now runs stably for 2 days. However, you can see that the records have had a bad start. I am thinking about starting over. Week 3. Week 2 was looking for the correct settings for my system. I found out that the temperature in the bins is quite different. When I set the water chiller to 19 degrees, it all flows fine into the first container. There it rises about 0.5 degrees per bin. The margin of the chiller is about 1 degrees, causing too many fluctuations in the system, with tray 1 becoming too cold and the last one too cold. I solved this by shielding the box at the inlet of the tent with heat-protective foil. I also put a fan on the water chiller. If that catches on, the entire loft heats up, whith more fluctiations. However, I have enough space to measure very precisely and I am getting more and more control. I think the brown leaves were the cause of much too hot water. Since I have the water temperature under control, I see that the new leaves are growing nicely. Moreover, since yesterday (13-5) I received the nutrition. 10 days late. I just finish the root scheme I think. That is still 3 days a 70 mm per day combined with BioBizz Heaven. I tried to take some pictures of the roots and some close ups. I hold the lid with my left hand and with my right hand I try to take a picture zoomed in (max). While the wind makes the roots dance past my lens😵 Something different than usual ... Hope you like it. If you see something that needs to be addressed, let us know. It is my first breeding so there will undoubtedly go wrong. This week I also connected the water reservoir with which I can flush the entire system at once. With this I also control the Ph in the system. Will post photos soon.

Cali crasher has been growing strong. It looks like she wants more calcium. So I gave her a booster in solution. I will see if it continues now after it has been trained good for the week. She is growing great under the Hortibloom Solux 350. The buds are really starting to form now, I’m getting a lot of purple and some black sugar leaf this is gonna be a wicket show. Oh my freaking sticky icky and I thought growing weed was tricky

The week went well, the truth turned off the light for two days and the plant was a day without light at all, then the next day put near the window, the sun was bright enough, then turned on, now the plant is under 600 watts HPS Sylvania . tomorrow or after tomorrow I plan to transplant the plant into 10 gallons of a pot of airpot for the roots go beyond the pot ,very powerful. I also plan to do another topping and do scrog😋 is it too late for scrog? What do you think?😅

Smells and tastes straight like a banana smoothie

Growth has been amazing in this short space of time. WiIl transplant into final 15 gallon pot at the end of week 3. I am aiming for an 14 week grow till harvest this run.
